Meet Our Team. Airbag has the expertise to take a project from strategy to design, from development to deployment—and beyond.

Murcell.

This morning, whilst reading through a RFP I came across a page with bullet points used to describe the design direction of the project.

The first bullet point read:

  • Post Web 2.0

Normally I don't condone this kind of behavior but this client deserves a big fat kiss, on both cheeks—Russian Diplomat '67 Style.

An enlightened client - amazing. We need more of those.

You mean it's finally over?

I hope that soon all clients will ask for that.

Does that mean 2.1 or 3.0.

Any client who mentions anything "2.0" is an idiot. Anyone who says "post 2.0" is a pretentious idiot.

On the east coast we're already up to web 4.0 RC1.

When do we get to change our version formatting? I'm waiting for Web 2003. That or, Web: Visions of the Beluga Whale

You just don't get it, Tom D. It's hilarious. And on the off chance that it's just plain stupid, then it's even more hilarious. So lighten up. You'll live longer, and you'll be happier during that time, however short that may or may not be.

In my fairly lengthy experience, working for clients who are idiots is rarely 'hilarious' once the work begins.

"whilst reading.."

I didn't think you were British. Aren't you a Californian?

I am aware that you don't care about this, but I just wanted to mention that your celebration of someone's death as "great on a cracker" is so tasteless, regardless of the person's politics.

RFP's that use buzzwords make me giggle.

> Any client who mentions anything "2.0" is an idiot. Anyone who says "post 2.0" is a pretentious idiot.

I actually found it refreshing that not only was the client aware of such a term but that they didn't want it. I don't think that makes them an idiot.

> I'm waiting for Web 2003.

Oh man, wait until Microsoft Internet 7. It's coming out in 2010.

> I didn't think you were British. Aren't you a Californian?

No, I'm American.

> your celebration of someone's death as "great on a cracker" is so tasteless, regardless of the person's politics.

But not, I assure you, as tasteless as Soylent Green. Not sure where politics fits in.

As funny or "inside" as that may be to some of us, it's neither descriptive or informative on an RFP. Might as well have put any of the following:

- Totally awesome "look and feel"
- Google meets Apple
- Pre Minority Report UI
