Not to be overly deadpan, but I heard about an experiment where a bunch of computers were set up in a chimp cage. Predictably, they banged on the keyboards some, but mostly just urinated on the cases and monitors. Given infinite time and bananas, monkeys will probably still just act like monkeys... and so will people, for that matter. French librarians moreso than most.
I think I would put my monkey on the monkeys. Given enough time the French would likely be the ones urinating and banging on things while the monkey's take over the library.
