Redesign is moving right along. I look at the present design and want to get rid of it as soon as possible.
Meanwhile I'm battling it out with MacOS 10.3, which doesn't seem interested in it's relationship with a wireless connection. It's almost like a high school romance: on and off again depending on the weather, the outcome of an episode of Miami Vice, or how fresh the Red Vines are.
I've tried switching in-between an Airport Extreme base station to a Netgear MR314 wireless router but neither holds the fancy of Panther.
Such is life in an annual $130 upgrade world.
I'm heading to the beach. Hopefully the moon is still pulling the tides around.

Greg, this site has been a big inspiration to me in a time when I want to redesign my own site, get away from the flash stuff, and make it easily updatable. Mind if I ask what you have in mind for the new site? I have very little patience.
I bet, like a high school romance, your wireless connection will simply swoon in your arms by the tides. You romancer, you.
What kind of wireless card are you using? Are you running the latest airport software? My Linksys card (802.11g, which is supported by Apple's airport software) wouldn't hold a connection to my router through machine sleep until I upgraded the airport software. Now everything is hunky-dory.
As far as I know I've done all the upgrades. That's what Software Update tells me anyway.
Have you tried turning on your TiBook ?
Haven't had any kind of problem with wireless since I upgraded. One thing I noticed, it started logging on to hidden AP's. I constantly run my iBook of a Linksys, a Netgear, and the Cisco ones at school.
greg--you have it working yet? If not, some details might help your devoted following troubleshoot. I'm running Panther on a GHz TiBook via an MR314 and it's working fine.
And I know what you mean about looking at an older design--I finished my last design/overhaul while in the hospital because I couldn't tell if my old design was causing more pain than the laminectomy....!
The public beta of Central had a mixed review today. But people were talking about it everywhere. (see links on Mike's blog).
We can't add new apps yet, and there is no information on how to go about building one. After all the hype and waiting around, this is definitely an anticlimax. Not because it isn't a good product - I'm sure it's wonderful, but because it is us, the developers, who will make it interesting. When all you have to look at cinema listings and weather reports (from another country), its hard to get too excited.

The redesign teaser is gorgeous. I hope your bear and star don't go anywhere when the new stuff moves in.
