After reading today's New York Times I had a vision of what television will be like in 2013:
In 2004, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the I-Team.
I'm sure it will be like the original but this time in high-definition or hologram, where available.
UPDATE: It appears the I-Team already exists (who knew?) and they have caught the TSA making illegal strip searches in Reagan National Aiport. No mention of what biscuit recipe and duct tape combination the I-Team used to defeat the bad guys.

Join the fray by reading through and commenting at the end.

"I pity the fool who'd watch such drivel!" -- Mr. Ti
Sorry. I couldn't help it.
Hey that was yesterday's Times :)
Great article, although many of us have been saying this for a long time.
I like how the the author describes the boats the marines use as "fast patrol boats". Hmmm.. is somebody afraid of rekindling the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth absurdity?
The question still remains, would they be able to actually shoot anyone? Or would they just hit car tires and other non-living material.
They could build a flamethrower out of an oven gas house, but they couldn't shoot one person...
Is it just me, or is the letter "i" in front of everything these days - even great HDTV television programs!
"i" is also at the end of things to do with HDTV — 1080i. First Compaq uses "i" then Apple makes it popular. Now everything is "i" this and "i" that. iThink iMight be right.
Of course it has a reason on 1080i....iThink iT stands for iNterlace.
Perhaps the TV of the future will look like those video camera displays in Best Buy that simply show a video camera aimed at the viewer. The ultimate in reality TV.
